About the Inspiration and Enlightenment Author

Welcome to the Inspiration and Enlightenment Workshop!

Stefan Emunds Profile Pic SquareModern authors are much more than book writers. They also maintain blogs, discuss relevant subjects on social media, produce videos, and hold speeches.

They offer a holistic service that revolves around the core value they labor to produce for people.

In my case the value is esprit.

I consider myself a pathfinder.

I go to places in the mind, describe the place, and show the path that leads there. That is the great value of visionary fiction – it takes readers to far and hidden places in the mind. Many spiritual scriptures use visionary fiction for that purpose. Poetry does the same thing.

Sometimes, I wish thoughts are like caves into which walls I can scratch ‘Stefan was here’.  😉

Why Another Enlightenment Website?

Good question. I asked that myself. I guess I should never stop asking that.

My heart’s desire is to be an inspiring writer. That’s why I do what I do. It’s an overdrive. I had an author website before but didn’t feel comfortable with it. I wanted something that put people’s needs first. What do people need? I need clarity, so I guess other people need clarity too. Clarity sounds like enlightenment, doesn’t it?

The other month, my daughter complained about a couple of enlightenment books. Her main complaint: most of them leave her unsatisfied. “Too philosophical”, she said. Example: The advice to solve problems by living in the now. Being able to live in the now is an advanced achievement on the path of enlightenment, not a tool we can use now to solve our problems in the lower sections of the Inspiration and Enlightenment Value Chain. Of course, we should strive to live in the now as we should remember to love unconditionally, but how to do that?

That’s a frustrating cliffhanger!

People read enlightenment books to make changes in their lives, but after they finished reading, nothing changes. “Worse, now my inner demons know about this and come up with counter-strategies before I even get going,” my daughter told me.

Some enlightenment books manipulate curiosity rather than satisfying it. They quench curiosity for a short moment, like a beer and leave us more thirsty afterward. I know what she is talking about. I am a writer and I learned these kinds of strategies that keep readers reading. Should strategies that make fiction books more readable, be applied to nonfiction? This gets much worse if one joins an enlightenment cult.

Too little sticks from nonfiction books. How to write books that stick? I think that this is the most important question of all. The second important question is how to induce a change in a reader. I am trying. Do I manage? You shall be the judge of that. Let me know!

Why an Enlightenment Workshop?

I believe that enlightenment is a built-in mechanism that lacks a few gears and springs. We need to learn how that mechanism works and get acquainted with all the gears, springs, belts, gear trains, breaks, clutches, bearings, pins, keys, and lubricants. These are the principles of enlightenment. If we know the principles, we can complete and repair the mechanism.

Most enlightenment writers take enlightenment principles and build a mechanism (philosophy) and publish the whole thing. That’s alright. Osho did that. Carlos Castaneda did that. People like Bentinho Massaro do that. I did that. But I don’t want to do that anymore. I prefer to give you just the principles. The keys. The gears. The lubricants. Get an enlightenment philosophy on your own! 😉

We can renovate religion and philosophy with such principles. I believe that Catholicism and Protestantism can be saved – excuse my language – if they just replaced a handful of negative concepts. Try this:

  • Christianity is attitude, not dogma
  • We are not natural born sinners, we are natural born prophets.
  • Mankind was not exiled, it is the greatest business in the universe
  • There is no devil, neither demons, only adversity.
  • Jesus Christ was a great example, not a great exception
  • Everybody will get to heaven eventually, nobody will be left behind.
  • Those who don’t practice unconditional love daily are not Christians

Taking principles serious can be life-changing. Principles are seeds that grow a new garden in your mind. It all depends on the quality of the seeds.

How do you know whether you got a universal principle and not a timely dogma? Dogmas need a lot of explanation and justification. For example, the dogma that souls have only one shot at incarnate life. Why should immortal souls that live in a universe of googolplexes of years live only once for sixty to eighty years, like a drop of water that falls on a hot stone? Something like that needs a lot of justification. Cosmic principles speak for themselves. They shine like stars in the sky. You are an immortal soul on a journey through countless planetary adventures – that needs no explanation.

This is why I made an inspiration and enlightenment workshop. Let’s grab some bits and pieces and build something. Let’s experiment. Like an email mini course or a short essay. Something simple, on the spot, something that lucifies a little.

Don’t get me wrong. There is nothing wrong with exploring other people’s philosophies, for example, Osho’s. Just keep in mind that it isn’t yours. Don’t relive his philosophy. Recognize the principles he applied, take home a few seeds and plant them in your garden.

Join the Workshop

When you join my workshop you will have free access to ever-growing inspirational content and services, for example, a video course on holistic self-realization and inspirational flash fiction. If you want to work on something together, let me know too.

The Solidarians

Does all this sound a bit lonely? Agreed. I feel lonely sometimes. Once in a while, I regret that I’m not part of some enlightenment movement. I tried here and there. It didn’t last. The older I get the shorter it lasts.

But there must be something for people like us. A way to connect with other lonesome lightworkers. I got an idea for a loose community: The Solidarians, the Solidarity of the Solitary. How does that sound? I’m writing a white paper about that. Stay tuned.

Visionary Fiction

I believe that an artist is not the source, but a channel through which art comes into being. The more humble the artist, the more unobstructed the channel and the better the art. Self-importance is not only the sorcerers’ supreme enemy but the nemesis of mankind. – Carlos Castaneda. Yep, writers are sorcerers(ses)!

Don’t get me wrong, self-importance isn’t a matter of morality. Eroding selfishness needs to be a strategy that clears the connection to our higher self – the True Artist. Of course, personality is still important since it owns artistic skills and know-how.

I don’t think there is a clear border between inspiration and enlightenment, they are two phases of one great work. I believe that the process is most important and that’s why I chose visionary fiction as my prime genre for my fiction books.

Visionary Fiction embraces spiritual and esoteric wisdom, often from ancient sources, and makes it relevant for our modern life. These gems of wisdom are brought forth in story form and in a way that readers can experience the wisdom from within themselves. It emphasizes and envisions humanity’s transition into evolved consciousness. While there is a strong theme, it in no way proselytizes or preaches. Visionary is a tone as well as a genre. The ‘visionary’ element can technically be present in any genre and set in any time. – Visionary Fiction Alliance

Where Are My Book on the Inspiration and Enlightenment Value Chain?

My published books are mostly about enlightenment, like Gawain and the Green Knight or Genesis. I used to be more on the enlightenment side of things. Thirty years ago, I began my spiritual career at B.O.T.A., a modern mystery school that teaches the arcana of Tarot, the Tree of Life, and esoteric Astrology. What I learn(ed) there is high up in the enlightenment section.

My Books on the Inspiration and Enlightenment Value Chain

Inspiration and Enlightenment Value Chain Graph Published Books

I dedicated the first years of my writing career to promoting a contemporary, spiritual Christianity. I deal with the possibility of modern prophecy is my book The Priest Whisperer, the story of a pastor called to prophesy. It was my first book, and, to be frank, it misses a proper plot. It is still a bit inspiring I think, so, I left the first episode out there as a relic of my early days. One day I will pick it up again to give it a proper plot.

Genesis is a more recent work that puts away with the notions of original sin and damnation. Mankind is the greatest business in the universe! Genesis is also science-proof since it shows that Genesis illustrates the creation and formation of other dimensions or universes and cosmic mankind long before the Big Bang took place.

Holistic Self-realization and Feng Shui 101 are the first books I published in the inspiration sector. I hope to publish more like those soon.

I want to cover other section of the value chain, like how enlightenment helps depression or escaping the hound race. I already have a few books in my pipeline but, you know, books take a long time to write. Stay tuned!

I used to maintain two blogs. The Daily Inspirer was dedicated to inspiration and Nu Christ to a contemporary spiritual Christianity. With the Inspiration and Enlightenment workshop, I attempt to combine the two subjects and dedicate the rest of my life to helping people moving upwards the inspiration value chain, wherever they may be at the moment.

A Bit of Biography

I was born in Germany and enjoyed two years backpacking in Australia, New Zealand, and South-East Asia in my early twenties.

After getting married, I chose a necessity-career in the telecommunication industry. Since then, I have worked as a business development manager in Europe, Middle East, and in Asia.

2012, I kick-started my author career.

At the moment, I live in the Philippines. When I’m not writing, I play with my son, take him to his Taekwondo training or drum practice, or we go to the beach.
